Rate a Trader
Customer feedback is really important for the members of the scheme, the managers of the scheme and for any potential customers wishing to use the services of a Trader Register member. When using a member from the Trader Register we ask that customers leave feedback on the website, or you can ask your trader for a feedback form.
When leaving feedback, the customer must leave full contact details, anonymous feedback will not appear on the website. Customer contact details however will not be published. Trading Standards do make checks to ensure feedback is legitimate and you may receive contact from a member of staff to confirm this. Unfortunately, we will be unable to display feedback if the trader has not actually been employed and completed work as the form requires a rating for customer service, quality of work and the time taken to complete. You may still leave feedback but it will not appear on the website, however the feedback will be monitored and should we believe a trader is failing to comply with the Code of Practice we will investigate and may take appropriate action. We will not publish feedback that is of a personal or defamatory nature.
If you wish to make a complaint about the trader, please complete a Make a Complaint form and this will be actioned in line with our complaints policy. We would however ask that you give the trader an opportunity to complete the work and/or fix the problem, provided it would not be unreasonable for you to do so, if necessary we may ask the customer and/or the trader to provide evidence of the work carried out.
