St Helens Trading Standards are committed to promoting the Trader Register to potential customers through advertising of the Register and through our day to day contact with consumers.
Your own page on the Consumer Site
Your business will have a dedicated page on our website which will include your company information, contact details and services that you offer. If you have your own website, you can link to it from your profile page. In addition, you will be able to log in to a private area that allows you to monitor how many potential customers have searched for your business and read feedback that have been submitted by your customers.
You will be permitted to use the Trader Register logo on all your paperwork and websites. You can also purchase logo stickers for your vehicles.
A Star rating of your Business
Your business will receive its own star rating and review system based on your customer’s feedback and experience.
Customer feedback allows us to regulate the scheme and ensure that customers are happy with the services they receive. It is also important for you to be aware of what your customers are saying about the services you have provided, this will enable you to make continuous improvements. Customers feel more confident about employing a trader if they know what other people think of them, they feel reassured that they too will have a good experience. Regardless of where a customer heard about you, once the work is completed customers should be encouraged to use the Rate a Trader page on the website. We can also supply you with a paper copy of the feedback form, this includes a freepost envelope to encourage customers to return it to us. All feedback is verified before being accepted. Once accepted, it is added to your profile page on the Trader Register website. This is available for customers to read and helps them to choose a trader. In addition, a good rating is a powerful means of promoting your business.
